It has been a pretty epic week for Cage Warriors’ current Bantamweight World Champion Dominique “Black Panther” Wooding (9-4 MMA). It all started with some very complimentary words from the current UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya, who revealed who he would like to see the UFC sign next.

The 32-year-old Ghanaian / New Zealander explained during his UFC 274 breakdown video after being asked “Which fighters from other organizations do you want to see in the UFC?”

“Dom Wooding, from those ends …. He’s UFC calibre trust! He’s one of my favourite fighters to watch, his bounce, his slick boxing, his flying knees, the way he flows, I love his style”

Izzy showed a lot of love for Wooding who has continued to impress after his debut against Cameron Hardy in 2021. The Black Panther would then go on to capture the Bantamweight title against Nathan Fletcher before defending that belt in spectacular style against Carlow Abreu with a devastating flying knee.

It is no secret that Cage Warriors has been a talent stacked pool the UFC keeps coming back to with Conor McGregor, Paddy Pimblett, not to mention Wooding’s Great Britain Top Teammate Nathanial Wood having all been signed directly from the promotion and the rumours are already circulating that Wooding is the next to get the nod.

The Black Panther has himself added fuel to that fire with a proposed bout against Cameron Else (10-6 MMA) which would see him debut in his home country at UFC London in July!
