GBTT Strawweight Manuela ‘The Butchers Daughter’ Marconetto (2-1) prepares for her toughest test to date when she takes on Danni McCormack (5-1) on July 2nd at Centurion – A New Era. Danni is coming off a first-round stoppage loss to Stéphanie Page (6-4) at Bellator 275 in February, the first defeat of the 32-year-old’s pro career. She is not someone to underestimate and speaking to Manuela, she made it very clear that she is ready to go!

” I usually plan my weeks with the same routine, but for this training camp, I prioritize striking as I want to be sharper. I really want to use my striking and be effective with it”

Manuela has been impressive with two decision wins over Stephanie Essensa for Pallas Athena Women’s Fighting Championship and Claudia Diaz for Combate Global but is not overlooking McCormack who is a dangerous opponent with an impressive record. Centurion FC – A New Era is a huge card, with some great fights to look forward to, so it’s an even more exciting opportunity for The Butchers Daughter to make a statement to the rest of the Strawweight division.

Manuela is a well-loved and respected member of Great Britain Top Team and I asked what it means to her as an athlete?

“Being a part of GBTT means everything for an MMA fighter. If you want to be serious and take it as your priority then this is the right place! We all breathe the same air and we share the same dreams!”

Lastly (mainly because it’s one of those questions I’m most interested in) I asked what you look forward to eating after the fight?

“I have a massive steak and chips with a glass of wine! Then when I am back in London I will want to go to little dessert shop.” (Between you and me i thought Manuela just liked little dessert shops, however I have been informed that it is a placed called LittleDessertShop!)

We can not wait to see The Butchers Daughter back in action. Make sure you follow her Instagram here to keep up to date with all things Manuela and head over to Centurion FC here for more information about the fight.
