Lisa Zimmo is the 42nd ranked of active European women (pound for pound)

Lisa’s journey into the fighting world started at freshers fair during university, where she joined the Japanese Ju-Jitsu society. She would go undefeated in ground game national Ju-Jitsu championships before leaving uni with a Law degree and a thirst for fighting.

Her journey took an unconventional route when she joined former WWE superstar Al Snow to train in his wrestling school and perform across Europe. After a year of travelling with Al Snow and the team, Lisa made the tough decision to put everything into her dream of becoming an MMA superstar

Lisa threw everything into her training, winning multiple gold medals in BJJ across Europe and a NAGA championship belt to add to the collection. She also spent time over in Thailand, working with the Hickman brothers to elevate her Muay Thai and MMA striking. When she returned, she had a fire lit inside of her to put the set backs to one side and prove to everyone what she and those close to her knew. She was destined for greatness!

Zimmo is never a fighter who is afraid of set backs. After dominating her opponents at the 2022 Immaf European championships, she suffered a knee injury that forced her out of the gold medal finals. But Lisa knew she would have another opportunity and in November 2023, she traveled to Albania to become the first ever English female senior IMMAF World Champion in style with back to back rear naked choke submissions. It was this point that Shellshock knew it was time to turn pro.
