The Professional Fighters League or PFL to those in the know, touches down for the first of two back-to-back events in the UK. Now explaining how the PFL works to the uninitiated can be confusing. Most people just skip all the gubbins and mention “they fight for a MILLION DOLLARS!!!” but essentially they must be doing something right because they are the promotion to watch in 2021.
PFL Cardiff does not disappoint with MMA legend Rory Macdonald (23-9-1) taking on Dilano Taylor (9-1) in the Welterweight Semifinal. England prospect Mick Stanton (9-6) vs Marcin Wójcik (15-8) and my personal pick of the night Wales’s own Ben Ellis (4-1) vs Irelands Nathan Kelly (5-2)
But we are only here for GBTT news dammit! So help us welcome ‘The Polish Bear’ Przemyslaw Mysiala (24-11-1) to the PFL! He has been training over here at GBTT headquarters for the fight and will have our very own BJJ Head Coach Ashley Grimshaw in his corner. Przemyslaw is going up against another veteran Lee Chadwick (27-16-1) who will also be fighting under the PFL for the first time. This is a really interesting matchup, both men are heavy hitters, but both are no slouches on the ground either. It is set to be an amazing fight!
