GBTT’s own Weslley “magic” Maia (9-5-0) has been confirmed in the upcoming Cage Warriors Bantamweight prizefighter tournament, which takes place at the O2 Indigo on July 20th. 4 men will walk into the cage and only one will walk away as the CW Bantamweight prizefighter champion and with it, take home $50,000,

In the first of the semi final match ups, the magic man takes on a former opponent in Shirzan Qadrian (5-1-0). The pair last met at CW 157 where Maia won via unanimous decision back in July of 2023. Weslley celebrated a perfect year with a submission victory over Bogdan Barbu and being the first to make Lewis McGrillen taste defeat in a career defining victory at PFL Europe 4.

During the build up to the fight, Weslley made it very clear, that mind games dont work on someone who has unwavering belief in their skillset. If you didnt believe his words, you definitely believed his actions in a now infamous exchange that saw a brash McGrillen being on the receiving end of a slap that was seen around the world!

All glory to God, on July 20th he has the chance to become the first Brazilian Prizefighting champion and change his family’s lives forever!
