There was a time when being good was enough. You trained. You sacrificed. You won.The rest took care of itself… right?

Not in 2025.

Now, you’ve got to win the fight and the algorithm. And that problem can take just as much training to master as any of the skills you need to become a champion!

If you are an up and coming MMA fighter today, talent alone doesn’t cut it. You have got to be your own promoter, your own media team, your own cameraman. You need fight clips, memes, behind the scenes sparring reels, and a caption that slaps. research your niche. Craft the perfect catch em all hook to get maximum engagement.

The truth is that someone out there right now is less skilled than you and are getting signed because they are louder online.

And that hurts.

It hurts watching someone you outwork every day get more traction because they dropped a viral clip and a fire emoji at the right time.

It hurts knowing you’ve got five rounds of hell ahead of you  but tonight, you need to lip sync to a trending sound just to stay relevant on TikTok. It can often feel that integrity is just as much for sale to the devil as your physical well being.

It’s not fair. But it is real.

You scroll through Instagram and it’s wall to wall curated chaos:

🧠 Motivational posts
🥊 Training footage in slow-mo
📣 Big talk, big claims, bigger expectations

You are told to be outspoken, edgy, marketable  while staying humble, coachable, and professional. You are told to be a savage in the cage and a saint in the comments. You are told to show your face, tell your story, grow your following  but don’t overdo it or you’ll come off fake.

You’re fighting the system and the fight all at the same time without waking up the sleeping giant that is… BURNOUT.

But here’s the thing:
The game isn’t going back. So make it work for you.

You don’t need to fake it.
You don’t need to be a clown, a YouTuber, or a character you’ll hate in five years.

What you need is presence.
Not just on social media but in your voice.
Speak when it matters. Say what you believe. Show what it’s really like the grind, the fear, the fire. Let people in.

Authenticity still cuts through. Maybe not as fast. But when it does? It lasts. Dont be afraid to refuse a question because it’s too generic or doesnt sit well with you. Your fans will appreciate you for it!

We see it at GBTT all the time.
Fighters who hated the idea of self-promotion slowly finding a rhythm.
Not because they’re faking it but because they’ve finally owned who they are in and out of the cage. We have rock solid foundations for marketing and social media. We are 100 percent organic growth. Is it the slower path? Sure but roam wasnt built in a day and neither is legacy.

This isn’t about chasing followers.
It’s about building something that stands up when the lights hit and the cameras roll.

Because in 2025, you’re not just a fighter.
You’re a brand, a voice, a story and yeah, still a damn good fighter too.
