About Barry Healy
Boxing Coach
Barry has been involved in boxing since the age of 11, when he began training at his local boxing club in Ireland. Boxing has always been a huge part of Barry’s life, and he describes the gym as his “happy place,” and somewhere he finds “peace, with no anxiety or stress.”
Barry has worked with GBTT’s fighters since 2020, and became GBTT Academy’s head boxing coach when the gym opened in 2022.
Barry’s experience in pro MMA began when working with UFC’s fighters at UFC Fight Island in Abu Dhabi in August 2020, before teaming with Brad Pickett and the rest of GBTT. Barry now works closely with Brad and the team, including as boxing coach for UFC’s Nathaniel Wood.
Passionate about training, Barry has developed a coaching style which is suited to all abilities, from complete beginners to pro boxers and seasoned MMA fighters keen to enhance their boxing skills.
